Tildren is a therapeutic agent that is commonly used in the treatment of bone and joint disease where bone resorption is a feature of the problem. In practice these are generally cases of osteoarthritis of the lower hock joints (bone spavin) and navicular disease.
Tildren’s active ingredient is Tiludronic acid, a bisphosphonate which inhibits bone resorption, by limiting the activity of osteoclasts, cells which cause bone to be resorbed.
If our lameness work up suggests that the pain causing the lameness is due to aggressive bone resorption then Tildren can be a very effective treatment. For further information please visit: www.tildren.com
