Faded Horse Turning Around

Dentistry is an essential part of the routinue health care of your horse. Teeth should be examined as a minimum once yearly, ideally at the time of vaccination. Some individuals, especially those with dental abnormalities or the geriatric patient may require more frequent attention.

All our veterinary surgeons have extensive dental experience as well as post graduation futher training. Jason is sitting the British Equine Veterinary Association Equine Dental Technician exam next year. As qualified veterinary surgeons we are in the unique position of being able to provide sedation, pain relief and local anaesthesia as required. This ensures a vastly improved experience for your horse and handler. It also allows for a more complete examination of the mouth and associated structures. In an effort to promote dentistry under sedation we have included the cost of sedation free of charge in the one off dental fee of £45. Further reductions are available for 5 or more horses seen at the same time.

Whilst all of our veterinary surgeons carry a full dental equipment kit, modern equine dentistry is much more than a ‘while you are here’ procedure. Please book in advance to enable us to have the time required to do a full and professional job.
